Subsidized Share - 2010

Farm Spot is committed to making our CSA financially accessible to our neighbors, and we are once again able to offer 15 subsidized shares for the upcoming season.  Income verification is on the honor system - we won't ask for proof of your income. These are our general discounted share income guidelines, taken from the Self-Sufficiency Standard for the City of New York, and are newly updated for the 2010 season. If you're not sure you fit into these levels, ask us:

• One Adult: $27,919
• One Adult, One child: $47,854
• One Adult, Two Children: $62,420
• Two Adults, Two Children: $68,175

To maximize the 15 subsidized shares, we ask that you split the share with another member if you have a smaller family size (which many families typically do due to the bounty of the share, especially during peak season).  We may be able to match you up for the subsidized shares ONLY.  To sign up, please complete an application and check the box for a subsidized share. For more information or to find a share partner, e-mail us at farmspot@gmail.com .  We cannot offer discounts on any share other than the vegetable share.

26 weeks season=$325 (a $225 discount from our full-priced share).   If you can’t pay the full amount upfront, we ask for a $50 deposit during registration and post dated checks due by the end of May for the balance, which can be divided over the 6 months of the share season (June-November).

Thank you all for making Farm Spot a great part of Jackson Heights!  Please let us know if you have any questions about the application process at farmspot@gmail.com
